SPARK is an Alternative Provision that is dedicated to improving the life chances for children and young people. It is vital to us that children and young people feel valued and understood, we believe this supports their personal growth and positive change.

With an increasing amount of pressure on schools to not only teach our children but to manage and support their behavioural, personal, social, emotional and psychological needs, we are in a climate where exclusion, isolation and poor mental health is at an all time high.

SPARK offers a therapeutic environment that promotes physical, social and psychological safety. Using a nurturing approach, we establish positive relationships with children and young people and work together to minimise and overcome barriers that prevent them from learning and enjoying their educational experience.

Our programmes are holistic and put the young person at the centre of their own development. We provide care and challenge in equal measures, ensuring a predictable, reliable structure and high expectations whilst maintaining a focus on achievement.

At SPARK we engage children and young people by offering a bespoke and innovative curriculum, we encourage a passion for learning and we empower children to believe that their strengths can flourish, enabling self-belief, confidence and resilience. We believe that no child should be left behind and that all children and young people should have many chances to succeed.

Don't just take our word for it.

Our 2 year old woke up this morning asking for if was rugby day, he loves the didi rugby sessions! Dave and Connor’s dedication to the zoom sessions through lockdown shows the passion and love they have for teaching kids. They come up with imaginative and accessible ways for kids to build their confidence with the ball and have fun. Our boy is also getting better at listening (most of the time) as the weeks go by.

The coaches have been amazing with the children. They have really focused on building the children's self-esteem and confidence, the aim we hoped to achieve. Their enthusiasm and passion for what they do has been noticed and commented on by several members of staff.

I have found that despite the conditions, they have thrived due to the high quality provision, integrity and innovation that the organisation and its team has. I am delighted to be aligned with Acti-Fit and can only foresee them having a truly positive impact on young people’s lives for years to come."
